Dr. Hillary Tompkins (she/her) joins Integrated Gastroenterology Consultants as a board- certified gastroenterologist with 15 years of experience practicing gastroenterology and hepatology in the New Hampshire Seacoast. She strives to provide personal and unhurried gastrointestinal care to all of her patients and truly enjoys the continuity of care in her practice. Dr. Tompkins has interests in general gastroenterology with a focus on diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases and colorectal cancer screening and prevention. She was born and raised in Presque Isle, Maine. She completed a bachelor of science in Biology summa cum laude from Boston College and her medical degree from Boston University with honors including AOA honor society. She completed her internal medicine residency, a chief residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center with a research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital focusing on inflammatory bowel disease. She served as the medical director of endoscopy and site lead for gastroenterology services for many years. In her free time, she enjoys ballroom dancing, beach walks, travel, a good book and time with her family.
